Superstition Foothills is a master planned community in Gold Canyon, Arizona for all ages. There are 1058 homes built by several builders such as Toll Brothers, Morrison Homes, US Homes, Shea, Pulte, Elliott, Engle, and Standard Pacific. The community is east on Highway 60 to Superstition Mountain Drive. The community is located only about 45 minutes east of the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport.

The community is presently past its new home/builder stage, and no more new tract homes are being built (not since spring 2007).  Homes range from about 1200 sq feet to more than 4300 sq feet.

Superstition Foothills has added information such as the CCRs, community paint pallets and other important information on a community website.


The community has a year round heated community pool and spa with the beautiful Superstition Mountain views in the distance. There are hiking and walking trails accessible right from one's front door.

There are no street lights which allows for dark skies at night and the ability to star gaze right from one's own yard.

The area has a variety of convenience stores, a Basha grocery store and other services. Major shopping is accessible within a short drive west on Highway 60. At Signal Butte and Highway 60 there is a Walmart, Kohls, Best Buy, Staples, several restaurants and other shops, along with a multi-movie complex that includes an I-Max theatre.

The area boasts spectacular views of the Superstition Mountains, amazing Arizona sunsets, and serene native desert. Desert wildlife is the norm, with deer, quails and all sorts of other interesting desert animals and plants.

Golf is available with several courses within 15 minutes of the area.

Desert Trails
Desert Trails homes are single story and two story homes. The homes were built by the builder, Engle. Desert Trails is in two sections within Superstition Foothills - Desert Trails I and Desert Trails II.

La Mirada
La Mirada homes were developed by the builder Morrison Homes. There are two sections within Superstition Foothills – La Mirada I and La Mirada II. La Mirada communities are single level homes.

Arroyo Vista
Arroyo Vista homes were built by Shea. There are single and two story homes. The Arroyo Vista community of homes is interspersed into three areas in the Superstition Foothills community - Arroyo Vista I, Arroyo Vista II and Arroyo Vista III.

Boulder Pass
Boulder Pass homes are single story homes. McGee was the builder.

Las Colinas
Las Colinas homes are generally the largest homes in the Superstition Foothill community. Square footage is approximately 3,300 sq ft to approximately 4,400 sq ft. They were built by Toll Brothers. There are single and two story homes. The Las Colinas community of homes is interspersed into three areas in the Superstition Foothills community -- Las Colinas I, Las Colinas II and Las Colinas III.
