Mountain Brook Village is a 55+ active adult community located about 45 minutes east of the Phoenix SkyHarbor airport. The community is popular among full time residents and "snow-birds" (residents who live in Arizona in the winter-time, but who have homes in other locations where they live in the summer months).
The popular retirement Gold Canyon community is developed around small village-type communities with 1659 homes and casitas of various models. The community is at the foot of the Superstition Mountains, home of lovely desert landscape and where desert wildlife is an everyday occurrence. The homes offer an easy living lifestyle.
Residents have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities, whether it's golf or tennis, swimming or hiking, or working out in the fitness center, or participating in card groups, or other activities. The community boasts a public golf course, and is also close to several other popular golf courses in the East Phoenix Valley area. Hiking and walking trails are available by walking out of one's front door. In Mountain Brook Village there is something for everyone to do. Or if a resident prefers the quiet solitude, there are abundant opportunities for relaxing as well. The community has a full-time activity director and sedentary activities as well. These include an extensive library and activities that range from arts and crafts to cards and dining clubs and more. There is something for everyone. There are always resell homes available on the market, as well as seasonal rentals. Building of homes was completed some years ago and there are no new build homes at this time in the community. |
