Vets - Send In Your Photo

The Gold Canyon Ledger is seeking photos of Gold Canyon veterans, widows, and widowers of veterans, living within the Gold Canyon Ledger readership area (from Mountain View Road east to Peralta Trails). Those qualifying are encouraged to send in a photo (young or old, in uniform or not), along with name, branch of service, and date of service to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . The Ledger's plan is to proudly display photos of our veterans, in honor of Veteran’s Day, Sunday, November 11th on it’s November cover. Please pass this request along and help get the word out, as word of mouth will help this project be a success.   If you do not have access to a computer, ask your family, friend, or neighbor for help.  As a last resort, please call Thomas Preiss at 480-288-4306.  His scanner is available to those who have run out of options for getting their information to him electronically.  Again, spread the word.  Lets work together and make this project a success.  Deadline for submissions is October 16th, 2007.
